You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

On Saturday morning, Matt invited people over to make sandwiches to take to the day laborers in surrounding towns. It was so great to see that kids (and adults) got up at 5:30 on their Saturday to do something kind. Quinn woke up to the commotion and even helped make a few. When we went, it was amazing to see how grateful the people were and how most of them ate their sandwich and chips right away. When Matt told a man "good luck on finding work today," he said that our generosity was a blessing because now he didn't have to spend his earnings on lunch! Blessing people always seems to bless me more and I pray that Quinn grows up feeling the same. ... And, if you'd like to go with us next time, let me know! We're going again soon!

That is really cool. I know that was such a blessing to all of those people. Y'all were "Jesus with skin on" to them that day!

I remember doing this same thing at CHS! It was amazing to see how many people, even in Abilene, were starving and in the cold. I know yall made their day brighter!

That's really cool Britt. How amazing to model that for your sweet baby boy too! I'm proud of yall for stepping out of your comfort zone to help so many people. :) Makes me want to "pass it on."

Very neat! What a great way to lead by example for little Quinn. BTW - love the many expressions of him! So cute!

I know...it's been soo long! I think Jessica once said she needed to meet your child, she'd met your baby, now she needs to meet your child. I agree. Let's hang out sometime after school...any days better for you than others? Wednesdays are bad for me, as I imagine they are for you too, but other than that I'm pretty open. Suggestions?!

I don't know if it is the pregnancy hormones or what, but that just brought me to tears. What a wonderful generous gift to those you served. Blessings to you and all who helped out!
