It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

For as long as I can remember, Christmas has been my favorite time of year... the presents, the lights, the food, the family, the songs, the shopping, the candlelight services, waiting for Santa, the new jammies and more! But, this year is so much different! When I look at my precious baby boy, I can't help but to think about Baby Jesus. It is amazing to thing that my Savior was once so tiny, so helpless, so dependent. It makes Him so real to me that even He experienced everything for the first time.

And then I think about Mary. How did she do it? She was a new Mommy just like me --- lacking sleep, nursing, oohing and ahhing over every smile and giggle --- and, yet, her baby boy was the Savior of the world. She loved him just like I love my little man, but knew that her Son would one day die to save us all. I can't imagine how she did it, but am so thankful that she did!

So, Merry Christmas to you all --- and may you find the true meaning of Christmas to be even more real this year!

Merry Christmas!!! This is my favorite time of year also. I'm always sad when it's over. (and, I love his little outfit with the cookies and "waiting for santa" saying!!!)

I know how you feel, I have been experiencing the same emotions this holiday season with a different view! How did Mary do it?! And our Jesus was once a baby too!
