I'm Dreaming of a White Thanksgiving

What a first Thanksgiving Quinn had. We came to Abilene on Tuesday afternoon and have been spending lots of fun time with Grammer and Slickpaw. Then, on Thanksgiving morning (after a not so good sleeping night due to teeth #5 and #6 on their way) we traveled to San Angelo to be with lots of Poe's at Matt's Mimi's house.

When we drove back to Abilene on Thanksgiving evening, we were amazed to find that Abilene had had a snowy Thanksgiving. It was beautiful!!! We were sad to have missed it but happy to take lots of pictures this morning. Who would have thought that Quinn's first snow would be on Thanksgiving...Texas weather couldn't be crazier!

We also continued our annual wish bone pulling tradition. Matt ALWAYS wins, but this year, I DID! He swears that I cheated! I don't agree...

And, we started a new tradition...an "I'm Thankful for" scrapbook that we'll fill in each year.

Matt was thankful for...

"my beautiful wife, my healthy son (my ninja), God's provisions in our finances, Creamer for my coffee, Parents who love me, golf with Slick, Saturdays with my family, Friends at the church that enhances our life, The children's ministry where Quinn will grow to love Jesus"

I was thankful for...

"my precious husband, my perfect baby boy (& his giggles and kisses), Caffeine free Diet Coke, Only working part time so I can be a Mommy first, an amazing church where my husband is the youth pastor, loving parents, sleep! Oh how I love sleep!"

And Quinn was thankful for...

"My mommy (especially her milk and long hair), my daddy (the way he makes me laugh), my puppies, Praise Baby, grandparents that spoil, Clarence, yummy puffs, trying new things everyday"

We loved the White Christmas! Creighton got to play in the snow and enjoyed watching the flakes fall from the sky.

I love your scrapbook idea. I know a family who does that and every year goes back and sees how God has worked in their life.

We are all so blessed!

We left at 5:30am on Sunday for Houston, otherwise I would have "popped" by. :)
Love you!
