Three months old

My precious little man,
At only three months of age, you have brought such joy to my heart. I feel that his month you came alive and your personality is shining through your huge, gum-filled grin more and more everyday. Your daddy and I feel that you truly know who we are and the way that you react to us and are consoled in our arms makes us feel so very special.

I will never forget the day that you and I were playing in the mirror (in your great-grandma Gackey's dresser mirror, in fact) and you noticed me and laughed for the first time. Tears of joy filled my eyes as I talked to you in our reflection and you did it again. It melted my heart!
You seem to be learning so quickly and are such a good baby. You have started really playing with your toys (especially Clarence the Caterpillar and your lion friend that always waits for you in the car). You notice your puppies now and even smile at them --- I'm sure it makes them happy but they're definitely ready for you to start throwing their ball! You "talk" all of the time...especially when we ask you to "tell us more." People are constantly fighting to hold you and strangers and friends alike are always telling us how beautiful you are - we are so blessed!

At home you are so much fun! You love to look around your new playroom and are in awe of your Praise Baby DVD's. You sleep 7 or 8 hours in your bassinet in our room each night and usually go back to seep for another 2 or more hours after you fill your tummy! Thank you for being a good sleeper so mommy and daddy can rest! Naps in your crib are still a work in progress. You would much rather nap when we're out and about or in our arms --- who could blame you?

My new favorite thing you do is when you stop eating just to look up at me and smile. It's like you're thanking me and then you go back to eat some more. It's priceless! I also love how you wake up happy. I'll be awoken by your sweet coos and look over the bassinet to see you grinning at me. How could I not be a morning person now?

You had more firsts this month - your first trip was to the Broyles' Family Reunion in Kerville, Texas and you were the star for sure. You also celebrated with your daddy for your first Father's Day and his 30th birthday. You went to your first movie, Fantastic Four, on Daddy's birthday and slept the whole time in my arms. Daddy and I are also letting you try things for the first time. You seemed to really like the gummy bear and sucker that you licked and the ice cream that we put on your passy - but weren't so fond of the lime or the ketchup. I think we have a sweet tooth on our hands!
Quinn, you are more perfect than I ever dreamed and I thank you for the priceless smiles, laughs, and cuddles that you give me every day. i hope that you can feel how much I love you and how I would do absolutely anything for you. I pray for you everyday and can't wait to see what the next month has in store.

XOXO,
Your Mommy
