I may be fired...

Well, I just finished telling my first graders why I celebrate Easter and I got blank stares from about half of my class. I always find such joy in hearing the input of the ones that obviously understand and aren't 'freaked out' by the fact that the Son of God died on the cross for our sins and then rose from the dead! When I tell it, and hear such innocent questions, I am reminded of how thankful I am for faith and the fact that I grew up 'just knowing' that these things are true! When I watch the faces of people that seem to be hearing it for the first time, I realize just how crazy it can sound! My prayer is that this little 'blip' of truth will spark their sweet hearts and they'll question it again some day. Happy Easter to all of you!
