A Fun “Not Our Favorite Holiday” Holiday!

These boys! They melt me every Halloween. I must admit that I get a little giddy at the thought of getting them all dressed up, taking pics and getting loads of candy! …But, my sweet fearful big boy has been quick to let us know that Halloween is NOT his favorite holiday. (Even though he does like dressing up and getting candy!) He hates scary! Everything scary. And dreads what he will see. Bless him.

But, after school, we all got ready. The boys have been excited to be french fries and a cheeseburger for a LONG time now (TOTALLY their choice)…and they loved that Daddy and I planned on playing along. So, of course, we had our annual photo shoot…and had to take a trip to In & Out Burger on our way to the church’s Trunk or Treat. 

We had a great time there. And, Q was so brave each time he saw a scary face. We played games, got LOTS of candy and lots of attention for our fun costumes. After we were sugared out, we came home and did a little cul-de-sac Trick or Treating before we had to call it a night. I’d say it was another successful “not our favorite holiday” holiday! Hope yours was full of all treats and no tricks!

…or proudly ride a horse (named Floyd) for the very first time…




 
We love that you make us want to be outside to do the most everyday things…
 
And that you make us SUPER excited about new chap stick…
 
We love that you make us take a family picture…



And that you’re teaching our Nasher to love taking pictures too…



We love the silly brother times you create…
 


And that you let us see things like “root beers” from trees that had to be chopped down for new cabins…

We love your playgrounds…especially when it’s a little chilly…

And we love that you allow us to see beauty like this…

And have moments like these…
